Alexandra Buildings Des Voeux Road Central

Hong Kong 22nd September 1904.

We have the honour to address you on behalf of our

clients Messieurs E. S. Kelly and Ellis Kelly, both of this

Colony, relative to the events and circumstances hereinafter

detailed.

By an Agreement dated 4th August 1900, made between

one Ho Amei and one Ho Lap Pun (as vendors), and our above

mentioned clients (as Purchasers), the Vendors agreed to sell,

and the Purchasers agreed to purchase the piece of land

situate in the New Territory and known by the name of Ngau Tau

Kok with its boundaries as set forth in a Lease granted by the

Chinese Government to the Vendors, which Lease was subsequent

to the Convention and taking over of the New Territory regis-

tered in the Land Office.

By the terms of the Agreement the purchase money was

to be the sum of $50,000 payable on completion of the purchase
